This app is very complicated to figure out. I like the old one, prior to the update.

It wont even let me get started. Dont understand the good reviews

App keeps closing out on me while on my way to my destination or sometimes not even let me input the location in search bar

No exit numbers, which would be helpful. Has been taking alternative routes, which end up bring longer than the original route. Locations Chase not been completely accurate

This app used to be great. Time to delete it.

What is this app doing in 2025 without a dark mode? I’m out. Deleted instantly.

Doesn’t integrate with my 2018 RAV4. The older version did, but discontinued support for my year make model.

Before Scout was my go to for GPS I relied on it, but since they changed it, it has never been the same. I can no longer hear where I wanna go and oh my God it is not accurate. I’ve done everything I could to every YouTube video and even to this help here in the community, can you please please fix this?

Just got a tour of good old Morristoen NJ . Heading for Chester NJ worst route ever!!!!!! Should have taken me further South on rte 287 and not theough the city of Morrisotown!!!!

Several years ago I used Scout with my old iPhone 5. It ate my battery. Now I’ve got an iPhone 14 and have been using Waze with very low battery usage. Tried Scout again, it’s the same as 10 years ago. Kills my battery and makes my phone hot it’s drainining it so fast. Sad that they haven’t fixed this.

Most part works great, but lately it has been giving me backwards directions and changing directions midway of driving. Missed an appointment because I was given weird directions and ended up lost and having to re-enter directions. Very irritated as it’s lost reliability with me.

I don’t like how the map takes me through housing developments instead of straight to my destination

It’s good but we should be able to pick a location while driving it make It way easier for me and if we cannot do that it’s way harder on me

No navigation map and it will not hook up to phone . Can’t believe the money there’s car cost and can’t use the map why have it.

I wish you can have different female and male options, that would be great

Why are you making me give you personal information, this is not okay with me :( I cannot even get directions just now, with having all this stuff to fill out, super frustrated!!

This latest version of Scout Maps does not support verbal directions on iPhone. What a LOSS!

I am not getting sound on my iPhone with this new app

Not accurate !

I’ve used Scout for years and have always loved it, but these recent updates have not been great. The app now constantly crashes for no reason, and if I have the sound on there is no prompt to turn or exit until the very last second, which is sometimes too late. Not sure what y’all have done, but these updates are absolutely NOT an improvement…

What’s up with this new update doesn’t talk until right up on turn it use to tell you a few miles back and tell you which lane to be in. Don’t care for voice and it cuts off don’t get all instructions

The apps stop working while in use and I always have to slow down and restart it. It does affect my trips because I do miss turns.

Ever since the new update the app loads in very slow. I can not use it when in need of last min navigation.

Latest version has nice maps.but no traffic anymore.

HELP! Since update no sound while I’m driving to tell me what to do. This is quite dangerous to have to keep looking @ my phone. I’ve deleted & then opened again. Still no sound. Advise please. Thank you!

App loads route then immediately shuts off. Noticed since recent app update. Please get this fixed.

My husband uses a different system and Scout is constantly direct routes where his occasionally takes him either to the wrong location or out of the way routes. I don’t prefer the recent change Scout made visually and the only thing I don’t like is having to click on 3 questions before being able to start, especially when I need directions quickly.

Frances Scott Key bridge in Maryland has been destroyed for 2 weeks and you haven’t updated your map yet. Maps that came installed in my phone updated that day.

For some reason when they changed the icon I no longer get talking. This is not good

This is just ok compared to other gps apps, especially ones for CarPlay. For example, using CarPlay, audio is cut off when providing directions, and when in other apps, there is no bar at the bottom that shows next turn as other gps apps do. It’s also missing things like speed limits and notifications if you go over, and doesn’t show street names when not on a route.

Scout has always got me to where I’m headed. Good about advance notice of roadwork or re routings are flagged well in advance!

Won’t with and my Toyota tundra

I thought this app might have roadblocks and traffic congestion updates. I was wrong. When I came to 1604 and I 10 every loop was blocked off and that wasn’t shown on this map and so I applied them using the proper links. And when I got away from that area, it kept trying to reroute me back to that area that I had just blocked all off. Slow. When I arrived at my destination, I tried to put in some information, and it asked about how the route was. And then it went away. I went to another section on this app where it said rate app and the app did nothing so that I couldn’t rate it.

This app has coffee,restaurants, gas etc. at the top of the page covering the space where I have to type in the address. It’s very frustrating.

Just see the title and you get the idea. Scout Maps has no clue how to maneuver or recognize Blocked Traffic & Detours. Why not HIRE MORE PROGRAMMERS??!! Running on empty with your profit margins?? I love not being chained to Google Maps directing me how to drive, so I really hope you’ll improve your services!! Sincerely, Captain P Princeton’73

I used to love this app I don’t use it very often, but when I needed it, it was available. Over the last six months when I’ve gone to use it, the App will start navigation, and then just turn off! Which means I would have to pull over re-enter the address and then try to drive and watch my phone for navigation completely useless at this point please get this fixed!!

Apart from losing my address book, the current version of scout “hangs” on profile. I installed it on my wife’s iPhone 5 my brand new 6 and m daughters 6. Same “hang” that says “preparing” I believe Telenav GPS was more configurable for detail. But I will attribute that to “learning curve” Everything tells me Scout is a downgrade.

Directions are adequate but the voice is computerized and annoying and no options for changing it

I had this on my Android phone and it worked flawlessly. Got it for my iPhone and what a disappointment. Half the time it can not find what I’m searching for and a lot of times it takes me on the longest route for some place that’s fairly close by.

The gps works well. Support was good. Now they are ending support for their sister product Scout link. They took my $15 for a year of service of scout link now they won’t refund me the rest of my unused subscription. So buyer beware before giving them a dime.

I would rather use a paper map than this app!

Sends me on wild goose chases. Sometimes when i could take a street one way down i directs me in a maze of going many miles away only to com back almost right next where i started. Needs to more user friendly. Used to love it. But now hate that it gives so many bad directions. Doesnt show many options restaurants or things nearby.
